Homework Policy
Written and study homework assignments are integral to a student's complete education. Assignments are designed to reinforce and enrich the lessons taught in the classroom and a realistic time allotment for homework is suggested per grade level.
Homework Guidelines
Written and study homework assignments are integral to a student's complete education. Teachers design assignments to reinforce and enrich the lessons taught in the classroom.
Specific homework requirements for each grade/subject are communicated to students and parents at the beginning of the school year. Homework assignments are an extension and reinforcement of skills and activities completed during the class time and include independent reading.
The following time frame should be used as a guideline for homework and study assignments each night:

Assessment
Our students are assessed through textbook and teacher-made tests, projects, writing portfolios and classroom participation. Grades two through eight take the Terra Nova standardized test annually.
