Performing arts is an integral part of Waldron Mercy Academy. As in their visual arts classes, students study a variety of artists and musical styles. Through singing, playing instruments, dancing, listening to music, and composing their own tunes, students discover and use their own musical abilities during their general music classes.
The Music Department offers private lessons on a variety of instruments. Your child can learn to play everything from Electric Guitar to French Horn!
We have an extensive choral program involving students from grades two through eight. Students who show strong ability or a passion for singing can audition for one of two Honor Choirs—The Treblemakers (for students in grades four to six) and the Chorale (for students in grades seven and eight.) All of the choral groups perform in major concerts, and the honor choirs travel to perform everywhere from the local mall to Disney World.
Stars and Stripes Theatre offers students from grades two to four the chance to catch the acting bug and put on their own show in March.
Finally, the Performing Arts Department offers a Broadway-style production each May for grades five to eight.
